Introducing themselves as purveyors of "Soulful Americana," 1000 Watt Prophets was born from the musical partnership of Zak Bunce and Denny Richards. After spending 15 years creating numerous memorable duos and collaborating in various short-lived bands, they decided to gather the finest musicians from Northern Michigan to establish a powerhouse group. Built upon their enduring synergy and unwavering musical foundation, Zak and Denny have transformed the band into a regional favorite.
1000 Watt Prophets fearlessly fuses Soul, Americana, Blues, R&B, Rock, Jazz, and Gospel elements, both in their original compositions and their captivating renditions of deep cut covers and a few beloved classics. With years of performing together under their belts, Zak and Denny's harmonious vocals blend seamlessly, while their almost mystical musical connection sets them apart from their contemporaries.
